"CANCELLED Disney" - Comedy Group ‘Socia(lites)’ Looks at Racist and Outdated Songs from the House of Mouse

With almost 100 years of content, it’s more than fair to say that Disney has had some missteps in their past and some of the material hasn’t aged well through a 2020 lense.

Comedy group socia(lites), creator of the viral sensation “Zoom Block Tango”, points this out in a video they recently posted to their Youtube channel.

The video plays like an advertisement that highlights some of the questionable material Disney produced over the years. From racist depictions with their characters to problematic lyrics that perpetuate misogynistic stereotypes.

There’s certainly a debate to be had whether or not it’s okay for villains to say villainous things but some of these examples are downright inexcusable for a company targeting their content to young minds.

Thankfully, Disney has started to recognize this and are putting warnings on their content on Disney+ that might offend viewers. Equally thankfully, the company hasn’t come close to producing such content since.

Last month, socia(lites) nailed it with their Zoom Block Tango and they do not disappoint here.
